Legally blind people cannot get a loan to buy a car

<p>I am a RSA citizen married to an Australian. I work part time and my husband is an engineer and works ful time. We own 2 vehicles that we bought cash. My husband tried to apply for pre-approval for a loan to buy a newer car but was turned down as he is not a citizen even though he has a valid work permit and has been emplyed full time by the same company for more than 6 years in RSA.</p> <p>I then tried but I do not have a licenece and have a driver insted as I am legally blind and unable to drive. My salary is low but I have a large investment prtfolio that will more than cover this or any car we want to buy. We both bank with FNB and have a great credit history. So basically we cannot get a loan to buy a car. How laughable.</p> <p>I am told there is nothing I can do.</p>
