Lack of Communication and Unjust Handling of Vehicle Sale

I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment with the manner in which my vehicle matter has been handled, particularly the lack of communication following its collection.

Over the past year, I have made multiple attempts to sell the vehicle, but despite this, WesBank rejected a valid offer of R650,000 from an interested buyer. I was not provided with a clear explanation as to why this offer was deemed unacceptable. The decision was made by a WesBank management without my involvement or justification, which was both frustrating and unfair, especially given my repeated efforts to resolve the matter.

I was further advised that there would be a better offer and was requested to allow WesBank to collect the vehicle and handle the sale, as they deemed the previous offer too low. However, following the collection of the vehicle, I received a message last week Tuesday informing me that it had been valued at only R429,000 and that I should contact Lindiwe Hlophe at ***. I immediately reached out, and Lindiwe assured me that she would get back to me at 2 PM the same day. However, as of today, I have not received any response from her or any other WesBank personnel.

Adding to my frustration, the potential buyer directly communicated their disappointment with how WesBank handled the transaction, stating:

"Unfortunately, we can only offer R600,000. We pushed you for over three months to get this sorted, but you declined us and messed us around. During that time, we had three buyers for the vehicle, all of whom dropped us because of how this deal was managed. You kept sending back-and-forth emails with so-called 'management' that kept saying the offer was too low. We offered R100,000 more than anyone else."

This message clearly highlights that there was a valid and competitive offer on the table, yet WesBank chose to disregard it without any engagement with me. The lack of transparency and poor handling of this matter have caused unnecessary stress and financial loss.

The lack of communication from WesBank is unacceptable. I deserve clear and transparent updates regarding my vehicle, its valuation, and the next steps. I request an urgent response explaining why my buyer’s offer was refused and immediate communication regarding the valuation process and the way forward.

I trust that WesBank will address this issue with the seriousness it deserves and provide me with the clarity and resolution I have been waiting for. Kindly treat this as a formal complaint, and I look forward to your prompt response.
