Is WesBank negligent or downright doing *****???
I've been struggling with WesBank a division of Firstrand for the past 10 to 11 MONTHS, going on a YEAR only to get two of my vehicle registration papers.
Each and every time there is a new excuse or problem when following up! The first time I requested the papers was on 30 October 2020, which I was told I need to pay the "change of ownership" fees on both vehicles (JEEP & Hyundai) which I did on 4 November 2020. After payment for the "change of ownership" and numerous emails and calls, I was asked to send the proof of payment 3 times, which was done every single time. Why was it necessary to send it 3 times, why didn't the first person do their job correctly?
Ever since then I've been following up weekly and monthly. Approximately 9 months later (August 2021) I was told they can not send the registration papers as the one vehicle's license disk is behind and need to be renewed - which was not the case and the license disk was and is still valid until end September 2021 on both vehicles.
We needed to send them pictures and proof of the license disks, which we did twice! All of a sudden we received end of August 2021, ONE (Hyundai) of the TWO vehicles requested documents. After, yet again numerous calls and emails they're still busy generating the registration papers for the other vehicle.
07 Septemeber 2021 I managed to get through to WesBank again, so I was told that the "change of ownership" on the vehicle which we're still waiting for the past YEAR was already done in 2018 at Akasia License Department - by the way, which was not me!
Meaning that this "person" did the change of ownership from WesBank to his personal name without my knowledge, consent nor any form of sale.
WesBank refuse to take responsibility or even to assist me regarding this problem which THEY created. In the mean time I've lost 3 potential buyers for this specific vehicle. I was only told they will refund one of the change of ownership fees and that they require banking details. How in Heavens name can such an big institute be so irresponsible, careless and negligent or should I say busy with *****?
My next step is lawyers and I WILL hold WesBank responsible for not my only my lawyers costs but definitely for diminution in value for the past year and much MORE!
Why do we as customers always need to take such drastic steps before we get the correct assistance, it is pathetic to say the least!
