INTEREST COLLECTED ON SHORTFALL
On the 16th of Jan I was unfortunately involved in an accident to which my car was declared as write off. My insurance company settled the amount declared by wesbank settlement letter, provided a last debit goes off on the 16/02/2016. I was not informed by writing, email or telephone that i was liable for a shortfall amount. Upon calling at least 6times during the course of previous week i was told that wesbank was making a claim from my Vap cover plus policy to cover shortfall and my acc will be settle and closed. However today I was told the initial setllement of around 2600 collected interest and was only today put to claims. This amount is going to accumulate interest which I will not pay due to the fact a call center agent told me my debit will go off to cover it on the 16/02/2016, and it was not debited. I had to once again call wesbank to sir it out. Hollard told me that claims take 7-14days to be sorted. Wesbank has not made attempts to help me after calling to arrange for claims to be made. I am in the process of trying to finance a new vehicle and was hoping to go with wesbank but with service like this it is affecting me getting a new vehicle. Disappointed!
