incorrect debit date
My contractual agreement with regards to the debit date for my car installments with Westbank is the 1st of each month, however, for the past two months they have debited earlier, but this month my account had insufficient funds as a result the debit order was unsuccessful. This has created bad credit history for me. I want wesbank to resolve this by clearing my name and refund me the penalty fees that Fnb charges for unpaid debit.

03 Aug 2015, 09:51Hello Mavi@Fezo,
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention and affording us an opportunity to address your concerns.
According to our records in terms of the credit agreement that was concluded, the debit order date for the Volkswagen Amarok was always set for the 26th of each month to coincide with the salary date as seen on the proof of income that was provided at the point of sale. This means that the debit orders that were presented were perfectly in order and were not premature as indicated in the complaint above. Volkswagen Financial Services can therefore not accept liability for any costs that may have been incurred as a result of the unsuccessful debits. Should you however wish you wish to amend your due date, please register for self service through our website www.wesbank.co.za or contact customer service on ***/*** and we will assist you accordingly.
We trust that this is in order and assure you of our best intentions at all times.
Yours faithfully,
Volkswagen Financial Services (VWFS)
