******* loading of debit order
I received a mail this morning that Wesbank will be loading money onto my debit order for insurance because I have not provided them with proof of insurance. I understand why they want proof of insurance however I have not given anyone permission to load anything onto my account. As far I understand CPA, it is ******* to charge for or load any debit order on a persons account without permission. They are now going to say that the contract says they can do it if I don't have insurance however I do have insurance. The problem I have is, my original contract is with Wesbank, they have a copy of said contract. On that contract is a proof of insurance with policy number and insurer details. They can call my insurer to verify my insurance. Now they want me to send my Santam insurance schedule to a Hollard mail address... I don't think this can be right. I will be contacting Santam today and having a chat with my lawyer with regard to possible CPA infringements.
