Hollard Outstanding Debt Policy
I purchased a vehicle from Honda and got Wesbank as my provider.

The day i received the car i got my car insured. Now about a year later, i got this email:

This serves as an addendum to:

ACCOUNT NUMBER : 852###

AGREEMENT TYPE : INSTALMENT SALE

Notification of change to Monthly Repayment

We hereby confirm activation of your HOLLARD OUTSTANDING DEBT policy as of 2015/10/26 and effective 2015/10/26.

I NEVER signed off or approved this, because i HAVE my vehicle insured. I am still waiting to hear from Wesbank with regards to cancelling this policy. I have updated my account with the necessary insurance information.

I am not happy, because now they want me to pay for a insurance policy which i told them i am covered and i did provide them with the necessary information regarding my insurance.

I really hope i can get this sorted.
Thank you for your concerns highlighted.
Your vehicle is one of your most valuable assets and like you, we are concerned that you remain protected should your vehicle be ****** or written off. In terms of your credit agreement with WesBank you are required to purchase and maintain comprehensive insurance in respect of the vehicle while it is financed with us. Notwithstanding that you have supp**** us with a copy of your insurance at the inception of this agreement, WesBank have experienced that insurance details either change or lapse over this period of time. It is always in the interest of our clients and the Bank to ensure that the asset is covered to prevent financial losses to either party. Hollard and Direct Axis has been mandated by WesBank to contact you for proof of insurance.
You have since been contacted by the insurance representatives and your details have been updated.
Kind regards,
WesBank
