Frustration by Wesbank, Wesbank

My name is Arnold, I bought a car last year at GM The Glen and was financed by Wesbank.

I initially went into the dealership in an attempt to purchase the Chevrolet Orlando which they had at their premises at the time, by the time my finances where complete the car had been sold. So the Salesman named Trevor Mhlongo advised me to take the Renault Koloes for the meantime which was the only car available the time, I took it. Nothing was in writing, hopping they would exchange It as promised once they get the Chevrolet Orlando.

Before I could take the car from them I had to take it for Roadworthy, they had taken it and it failed because of all the faults it had, I took it for testing and payed a bribe for it to pass, I went back to the dealership and told Trevor that the car was problematic within a few days of driving it, nothing was done. The car was pulling to the left as i drive, problems with the shocks, it has oversprays on the bonnet which shows it had been on and accident, there was a brand new headlamp on the left, faulty speedometer. Asked for accident report and was never given, I was sent from pillar to post.

The advice I got from Trevor was to go hit a tree and insure I damage the engine so that the insurance can give me money to buy another car as the car is too problematic and was nothing they could do for me.

I then went to Wesbank consulted Clayton Louw, they conducted and investigation, I got a call from a guy named Derby whom had gone to the dealership about the case which didn't go in my favour as I "had nothing in writing" and the dealership denying the allegations. I felt the conversation between myself and Derby was one sided cause he kept disputing everything I had to say, he didn't even care to listen to what I had to say or even answer questions I asked. Wesbank advised me to consulted the Motor Industry ombudsmen, the case is still pending due to Backlog.

I went back to Wesbank again consulted with Litza Roadt after I was quoted R24 000 for the drive shafts, the case is still being investigated. I cannot afford that kind of money, I'm paying R4500 for a car that is giving me problems, the very car that I didn't want.

I feel that Wesbank isn't doing as much as they should to help me, they Finance me and I'm paying monthly for a car that is frustrating me, I can't get trade-in assistance anywhere because the money is too low, and the Renault brand itself isn't favourable to dealerships. They (Wesbank)called me and told me that they giving me 7 days to find and insurance or they will forcefully put their insurance on the car which will increase the instalment.

I called Wesbank seeking advice from Litza, she was not available and was sent through to another consultant named Lincon whom took my details and has not gotten back to me as promised.

What do I do in this case? I would appreciate any kind of help.

My contact details:

Arnold Manyama

Cell: ***

***
