Financing after debt review
I app**** for financing online. I had an account with Wesbank which I paid religously under debt review for 7 years at an installment of 7900. The initial vehicle debt was restructured and my starting balance when I went into debt review was even 70000 more than the initial amount owed. I still managed to pay off the car. I have a clearance certificate and a credit rating of 921 at Transunion and is no longer under debt review. I obtained a cheque account with FNB because I wanted to bank from now on with FNB but I am regretting my choice at this stage. My finance with Wesbank was the initial decision maker in this for me.People who got credit amnesty (judgments etc cleared) can get loans but I cannot? FNB has double standards. I mean my business closed during the recession in 2008 which was not my fault but I honoured my debt responsibly. I even lived on two minute noodles for months but did not fail to pay my commitments. NO judgements ever against me! Tell me why do I qualify for a cheque account but not for financing. My gross salary is minimum R25000 a month with a net pay of 19600. Some months my net salary is double that. I feel this is against the credit act and debt review
