false information
I surrendered my vehicle because I ran into some unfortunate financial issues, rather than have the car be repossessed I surrendered it. Prior to this I was not in arrears. I started this process in January 2024 by calling in numerous times to the call centre, where I eventually was in contact with Lindiwe Hlophe, whom from the very start was inefficient. I asked her from the very beginning, if I surrender my vehicle will I be listed on the credit bureau and will I have a negative credit score. Lindiwe indicated to me that it will not affect my name and I will not be put on the credit bureau. I was then surprised to find out that my credit profile shows that I'm 6 months in arrears with vw. From the beginning I was I was not told that surrendering my vehicle will affect my name, had I been aware of this I would have never surrendered my vehicle. I was told false information by her that is now affecting my name because of an individual’s lack of knowledge. Upon signing the offer to purchase with the dealership, a 3 month grace period for the instalments was offered to by VWS. So how can I be 6 months in arrears, when VWS started debiting my account in December 2023. The vehicle was then sold to vw Vereeniging, by March 2024. And a payment arrangement was made VW on the 3 April 2024. I was only contacted by Lindiwe for a payment arrangement after my numerous calls and emails to her. I need this matter to be resolved urgently, and I want the calls to be played, with my conversations with the agent. I cannot be subjected to this unfair practice.
