Do NOT buy any vehicles from Edwin at Wiggins Motors Parys

This post I'm doing on behalf om my mother Mrs ME Van Stratten (Pretorius) . She bought a second hand vehicle from Edwin @ Wiggins Motors Parys (Ford Ranger) and had endless problems with this vehicle from start. The vehicle was sent back to him for repairs which at the time we started complaining to Wesbank was already taking more than a month. He was buying second hand parts from s**** dealers to use in this vehicle that is not up to standard. They then decided to rather take another vehicle from him with less faults on. The first vehicle they looked at was promised to them at a certain date, never happened. The second vehicle was sold after they've been told they can have it. The next vehicle he came up with had so many problems and was to be repaired first as well. He then gave them a vehicle and this was in absolute shocking state, I can not believe that it's possible to be roadworthy at all. The gear lever is broken and leaning to the left, 3 of the 4 tyres are flat, door panels are loose, making this vehicle ************* and a danger on the road. After all this we had spoken to Albert Laubscher at Wesbank (Area Manager) he had a meeting with both Edwin and my parents and was "shocked" that Edwin will treat "older people" this way. He said that he will follow up and that Edwin was to update him daily for the week that the vehicle is in for repairs. That never happened and after that week Albert just stopped taking any calls from my parents and never returned messages or phone calls. I phoned Albert and he immediately answered the call, he was extremely rude and said in his words that my mothers can not make up her mind, this is after she explained to him that after 3 months of struggling with Edwin to repair the vehicle or give them another vehicle in working order to replace the first vehicle with something they would take, they would then rather think of cancelling the deal. He told me that I can speak to whomever I want about this and that we will just have to wait..... I then got hold of his manager Jacques and explained to him the situation, he then got hold of Albert and Albert phoned my mother back giving all these empty promises again. My mother went to Wiggens and cancelled the deal with Edwin.... He is supposed to settle the amount at Wesbank and give the kilometers he think was driven with the vehicles so that my mother can pay him back that amount, this is now 2 weeks later and nothing has been done. Neither Jacques, Albert or Edwin is returning any calls or messages. My stepfather is a building contractor and is losing huge amount of work and money because this is taking so long and they are unable to buy a different vehicle at a different dealer. I thought that a business like Wesbank will treat their customers better than this..... and that they will look after customers, but it seems that the area managers would rather side with a dealership that sells these s**** vehicles. If I remember correctly Albert mentioned that he would also have problems if the deal gets cancelled. We have sent all pictures and proof of the state of vehicles to Wesbank and they have everything on record.

My mother met with legalwise Tuesday 05/12/2017 and the matter was apparently taken up with Wesbank and Wiggins motors and should hopefully be resolved at the latest Monday 11/12/2017 if not the matter will be escalated to Motor Ombudsman. I think that this is not a bad idea and that Wiggins Motors should be investigated together with Albert Laubscher.

So they have paid 4 months for a vehicle without having it in their possession and keeps getting empty promises and now Wiggins is taking his time to get this matter cancelled/ resolved and they according to Albert (Wesbank) just have to wait and there is nothing they can do about it.

Must say we are extremely dissapointed in the service given from the area Managers of Wesbank and truly disgusted in Wiggins Motors and will tell everyone we know to never deal with them!!!
