Disatisfying Client Service from Wesbank (FNB's Motor Financing Division)
I notified Wesbank in Dec2025 that I am selling my financed vehicle through the dealer I have bought it from in June2024. I have notified Wesbank again in June2026 and July2026 that I am still busy selling the car. On 5Aug2026 the vehicle was settled in full, by the dealer, as they sold it to new customer and had to request the legal paperwork of the vehicle from Wesbank. I requested Wesbank to reimburse me the "Early Termination Fee" on the settlement letter as I have been communicating regularly over the selling period to Wesbank of my intension to sell the vehicle. When I queried with Wesbank today, 11Sept2026, why have I not been reimbursed the fee that did not apply on my settlement, the Indian representative just apologied on behalf of the bank and informed me that Wesbank is NOT going to reimburse me the early termination fee, as I was not phoning them every month to communicate that I am selling the vehicle, but only in Dec2025, June&July2026 and that was not enough evidence to Wesbank that I am notifying them of an early termination of the motor finance agreement. All other Financial institutions have quoted early termination fees on their settlement letters, but reimbursed me directly once the vehicle has been settled in full at the bank, except Wesbank. Think twice before you go into a business agreement with Wesbank, as money talks more than the business relationship with them...
