Good morning
My name is Bathandwa Sefuthi ( ********** 367082), I purchased a vehicle from Dampier Motors Äliwal North (051 ********** ) in July 2017 from a sales person by the name of William Mjezu. In that same month I was not satisfied with the condition of the vehicle so I contacted Nigitha Swanepoel who I would assume is a Finance Administrator for Wesbank as she is the one who compiled my contract, She adviced that she was not in my area so therefore I must contact the dealer (William ) while I was still up and down with the dealer and the sales person, struggling to obtain documentation of the vehicle (service book, manual, spare key) the car wouldn’t start, so the car had to be towed through to Bloemfontein and for the next two months I was travelling with public transport until the dealer agreed to pay (ECU KIT MINI exchanged).
I received the car back in September and immediately I could sense it was still not in a good condition because on its return the car’s cd port was not functional and the warning sign still remained. In that same month the warning sign was now changing from orange to red, I had to seek out Google advice as to what the sign meant as I stil had not received a manual for the car, it turned out that the fault was ontryes, they had reached a point of beyond usage, again had to alternate on using public transport, I again was referred to Leticia Jenneke an Area Manager from Wesbank to assist, after another month or two she managed to replace only two tyres stating that I must convince the dealer to cover the two ( which I failed at doing too as William plainly refused).
In November the car key would not function, this time around I did not receive help from the bank neither from the dealer I had to pay for the key my self ( see attached invoice).
In April (2018 now) Dyno Tec ( motor panelbeaters) finally agreed to repair the cd port at but on my arrival at the workshop they claimed that it was not in their jurisdiction I must now seek out assistance else where.
Fast forward to two months ago, the vehicle stuck in Queenstown , I had to be towed to one of the dealers that SA Warranties covers ( apparently the car is on a two year warranty). The car was towed to Bosch panel beaters in Bloemfontein, according to their diagnosis the car needs a lockset replacement which is an amount of R25 000.00, SA warranties rejected the claim stating that my policy does not cover the lockset but the key coils. My comprehensive insurance also does not cover it.
Now the main point of this email is to pour out my heart that not only is this physically draining, emotionally frustrating but it is financially destroying me, first and foremost I DO NOT HAVE THE R25 00.00, secondly already I am paying a hefty price of monthly instalments of R6 100.00 add on insurance of R 1700.00 yet as I text this I am paying public transport, which has been the case since I purchased the vehicle, I have not been able to drive the car because 90% of the time it is in for repairs.
Here I have attached correspondence between myself, the bank and the dealer as I feel that Wesbank has let the dealer get away with the ****** of selling me a defective car. I have CC’d all these companies crying out for help from anyone!!!!!!!!! ( red texts is all the faults I have encountered since having purchased the vehicle and please note that this car has been having problems within the Consumer Protection Act Policy of six months) I have been crying and complaining since I purchased the vehicle and today I receive feedback that today that I will not be assisted as I am only complaining of the lock set now even though I have correspondence from my initial complaint
Frustrated
