Deceased estates

My mother passed away on the 1st of April 2015, her car had been paid off in March 2015 (not quite sure of the date). I emailed Wesbank requesting the logbook for her car in January 2016 so that I could change the ownership of her car because to this day I'm still driving around in a car that is in a name of a person who's been deceased for over a year. Forget the fact that I haven't received the logbook, ( which was promised to arrive in a month or two) the deceased estates department didn't even have the decency to reply to any of my emails so if there are outstanding documents I wouldn't know because they don't have what many would see as simple common courtesy - replying. I don't understand why I need to beg for the logbook when the car has been paid off, the logbook isn't yours to keep anymore.

Good day Thank you for bringing your concerns to the fore. Our legal team has communicated with you concerning your late mum's account and an e-mail has been forwarded to you detailing the requested information needed, before sending you the vehicle's registration papers. We await your response. Kind regards WesBank
