**** service!!!
I'VE just started a new job and it turns out we get paid right at the end of the month. I happened to miss a debit order on the 27/06/15 and got a sms from my bank to notify me on the 29/06/15 that a transaction did not go through. I called wesbank to ask if the transaction did indeed go through or not and the lady I spoke to told me shes not sure at that moment, she told me her system updates every 48 hours and that I should call back on Thursday 02/07/15 to confirm if payment was made or not. On Thursday the 02/07/15 I get a call from one of the wesbank employees who happens to be in the debt collection department, the gentlemen tells me my account has been handed over due to missing payment.. now this naturally came as a surprise to me for obvious reasons. I am now told that I have to pay an extra R300 because they start charging me for missing payment from the 27/06/15 when the debit order was meant to go off. I take full responsibility for not making sure there was enough money in my account when the debit orders went off, now what am annoyed at is why this was not communicated to me on Monday the 29/06/15 of June when I called and inquired about the payment. Disappointed!!!
