Covid19

Kindly be advised that I have app**** for the COVID-19 payment relief in March 2020 and was under the impression that this was for the 3 months period as I am a taxi owner and have been directly impacted by the global pandemic. With the National lockdown which started on 26 March 2020 I had no means of income as my taxis could not operate and this is my only source of income. When the restrictions were a bit eased by the President, we could start operating but not with full capacity, so income was still very minimal. After my first application I received an sms to say that this was approved. On 8 July 2020 I contacted Wesbank again to ask for another 3 months extension as I was still not able to pay my monthly instalments, as mentioned above this is my only means of income. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the world is facing this led me to a great loss of income therefore I app**** for the payment relief option. I was requested by Mandy Sadan(Pre-Collections) to sign the Application and addendum form and resend to Wesbank of which I did as I received the communication that this has been linked to my accounts. On 09 October 2020 I asked when payments must start, and Mandy advised that she could not say as the taxi relief was still being looked into. On 07 October I had to resend the documents to Tasneem Jeppe (Wesbank). After numerous calls between myself and Tasneem she then advised me to visit the Wesbank Fairlands building to sort out the payment issues. I drove all the way to Fairlands on 22 October 2020 and to my dismay the building was empty, and the security advised that all staff were working remotely. I then had to call Tasneem again and she advised that she cannot assist as my account was now in arrears and the money must be paid. I requested for her to take this up with her seniors and she returned my call a few days later advising that my request was declined and that my accounts will remain in arrears until payments are up to date. My understanding regarding the relief plan was that after the 6 months my instalments will commence (this being the amounts before the pandemic) and that my terms will be extended to make up for the missed 6 instalments. Thus being said not my accounts reflecting arrears. This being said the total of 6 months relief is what I app**** for. Until the pandemic my accounts were in good standing. Your assistance in this matter would be very much appreciated.
