Close my account due to retrenchment!!

I need help/advises on: 2018 I had a car fiance with wesbank.. due to retrenchment I called them to come fetch the car as I won't be able to afford it okay cool they fetched the car, n I sent them my retrenchment letter.

They did not close the account until it end up escalating errears until today..

it's effecting my credit report badly.. wasn't the insurance supposed to cover it??

how should I go about it this?? I need you guys to close the account

Good evening hope you well. I haven't got any response from wesbank till today only to find out my name still appears on credit bureau with their debt. I really need assistance on this matter.
