Bad service

I have vehicle finance through Wesbank.

This morning 29/07 at 01:53 am I received two emails to notify me that an insurance policy has been added on my account.

I have not received any communication from Wesbank to inform me that I should provide proof of insurance on my vehicle.

After speaking to a consultant this morning to gain information about this added policy I was told to email proof of insurance on my vehicle and the problem will be rectified.

I emailed proof to Wesbank and only received a confirmation email, no extra info that the problem will be rectified.

I phoned Wesbank again this afternoon and spoke to Tasmin. She told me that the reversal and cancellation of the policy can only be done after 48 working hours.

My problem with Wesbank is:

I did not authorize any policy on my account.

Why do Wesbank email clients at 1:53 am, this immediately gives the idea of ********** activity, when all other e mails were received during business hours?

I am going to pay interest on the extra R513 that Wesbank is charging on my account and I must wait until Wednesday for the amount to be reversed, while the installment goes off from my account on Monday and Wesbank is not going to reimburse the interest.

I demand that Wesbank call me and send proof of the notification , that I must send proof of insurance.

Good day Thank you for your concerns highlighted. Your vehicle is one of your most valuable assets and like you, we are concerned that you remain protected should your vehicle be ****** or written off. In terms of your credit agreement with WesBank you are required to purchase and maintain comprehensive insurance in respect of the vehicle while it is financed with us. Notwithstanding that you have supp**** us with a copy of your insurance at the inception of this agreement, WesBank have experienced that insurance details either change or lapse over this period of time. It is always in the interest of our clients and the Bank to ensure that the asset is covered to prevent financial losses to either party. Hollard and Direct Axis has been mandated by WesBank to contact you for proof of insurance. You have been contacted by the insurance representatives and the policy has been cancelled and refunded. Kind regards, WesBank
