Bad customer service

I requested a 3month Covid relief payment from Wesbank for my vehicle finance at Wesbank which ended 31st August 2020. My employment was terminated on the 31st August 2020 and i got retrenched. I informed Wesbank who requested a retrenchment letter as Proof of unemployment and details of my vehicle. A few days later a lady from their Finance department contacted me informing me that Wesbank does not have an insurance cover in the event of retrenchments and that I must get someone who can assist me in paying the balance or I must return the vehicle and it will have a negative reflection on my credit rating. I'm dealing with different banks at this stage regarding my retrenchment and only had positive outcomes. Wesbank is the only bank who is uncooperative during this unforeseen circumstances. I will recommend customers to first check their contracts and get legal advice before signing any contracts.
