Bad Customer Service

Hi there,

I am very disappointed with the poor customer service I have received from Wesbank- in connection with my vehicle installment payments. All I want to do is to set up a debit order with them, so that I don't have to transfer money each month. I was a debt review client for the previous year and a half, but now since I am out of debt review I want Wesbank to continue to debit the installment amount from my bank as we did prior to my debt review status, and as per the original agreement. In July I was told this was set up, but I still had to transfer money myself. When I called to find out why the debit order did not go through I was told the manager was reviewing my account to check if there are any arrears. I DO NOT have any arrears on my account since I had been overpaying on the installment for over a year, and that should've been picked up quickly by this manager. I have since spoken to 3 different consultants over the past 2months to try and get this sorted out, but they all have one thing in common- making empty promises to escalate and rectify the problem and get back to me. I am still waiting for all 3 to get back to me.

Can I not beg Wesbank to debit me...

Hello mngann9,

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention and affording us the opportunity to address your concerns comprehensively.

As a service driven organisation, WesBank goes to great lengths to support our valued customers through periods of adversity. This is however only possible when you are both willing and able to adhere to the conditions of a conclusive arrangement or in this instance, the conditions of the Debt Review. Feedback has been provided to clarify that the Bank will only be in a position to reinstate the debit order once the account is aligned to the credit agreement because the account was restructured in accordance with the Debt Review processes.

We trust that this is in order and assure you of our best intentions.

Yours sincerely,

WesBank
