Aparently I am not suppose to earn so much if I am black says WesBank staff

I app**** for a small vehicle finance via my private banker. I re-emphasized how urgent this is because I need to leave the province and later the country because it is costing me R5000 rand per day being here. The follwing day, I called my banker to follow up, only to realise that my application (although provisinnally approved) was not being looked at because they did not trust that I get paid that much (and obviously because I am also black,).

They requested for me to provide source of income for a large amount which they picked up on my accuont. This is quite silly because FNB normally holds such amount and only release after you have provided source of funds. So I had to duplicate this step to the same business (no single client view at all here). They then said, my drivers licence is a ScanCam. This is quite seally, because ScanScan is just a medium used to digitise a physical paper. There's no difference between this and a printer, it's such a petty argument to make. It is as saying, we only take Scans from Nashua printers not Sumsung. They then came back and said, the account used to pay my bonus and the account used to pay my Share options are different. Some basic accounting understanding would help you understand that long term share-options / long term incentives and salaries do not have to come from the same account or cost code.

I then provided them with new documents, including my shares vesting letter and my rewards letter. The rewards letter contained information about my salary increase, as well as my bonus allocation. These amounts are before tax and are subject to the business scorecard adjustments. The person came back again and said they can't match the amount on my bank statement to the amount on the reward letter. You have to be a complete incompetant person to not see that the forma was the amount before tax has been app**** and the latter was after tax !!!!!!! Now, I am sitting at the dealer, they day has goneby, which costed me yet another R5000, and I have not received any feedback from WesBank, even if this is via the banker.

Here's the worse thing. I am already a client of Wesbank. I just paid-off my other vehicle which was financed by them. When I app**** last year, I had pretty much the same financial situation, same abounts and incentives, but no one gave me this *******. How does this work?

Shouldn't my good record be taken into account?

My hypothesis is that the person handling this has personal reasons why they dont want me to get this deal. I am not playing victim, but if WesBank can prove to me that they have never accepted a CanScan doc then I would be wrong to presume that there's a bit of racial discremination at play here.

If WesBank can prove to me that in the last six months, they have querried every bonus amount on the customer bank statement and requested proof that the client has received a bonus, then I would be wrong to call racial prejudice.

I am willing to bet with my life that if we were to conduct an audit, we would find cases where certain groups of people were never questioned amount the large sums of money in thier account because they have the correct surname.
