Worst dealership in the country - PMB Webuycars

I'm utterly disturbed by Pietermaritzburg webuycars ********* and poor vehicle and customer service.

This branch cannot be recommended to any potential clint as it's a hazard to a persons life to buy a car there. They deliberately issue **** and *****ulent Dekra reports to mislead clients. There needs to be an independent investigation on WHO and HOW the road worthy certifications were issued for these cars. I strongly feel that this branch misconduct needs to be brought to the attention of Faan or Dirk van der Walt.

I bought a Dekra gold car on the 19th of November 2024 at the PMB branch. However after 25km after leaving the dealership at 12:55 the car issued a engine oil warning. After waiting on the highway for 3 hours 15:27 a tow truck finally picked my wife and I up, we were taken to mechanics to where our surprise there were endless problems. there were multiple oil leaks, the turbo air intake pipes were broken and was joined/repaired with electrical insulation tape which melted. When I phoned the manager to ask for assistance for transportation to a BnB, he informed me that it was not his responsibility he was extremely rude and unprofessional . One of the mechanics drove us to our accommodation at 19:23.

On the the 20th of November we had to take an uber at 9:30am to we buy cars to hear what is happening to our car. Please take note we still have our previous days clothes on and no food eaten. We waited until 12:00pm to finally hearing that there are endless problems with the engine and car. This car was a Dekra gold that went through the road worthy test and passed!? The manager was not helpful what so ever, he was avoiding us. I chose another vehicle and the car would only be ready the following day! We only left at 15:00 to finally buy ourselves clothes and food. Again we had to book ourselves into the place we stayed the previous night.

On the 21st of November we uberd again to we buy cars at 10am. We could only leave the dealership at 16:00. The car was put through the road worthy test and passed. On our way home ( we live 3 hours from PMB) we noticed the car has a vigorous vibration on the left passenger side, the vibration was so bad that the mirror was vibrating. I contacted the sales person immediately thinking it might be the wheel alignment. It was dark and it was raining when I had to slam breaks as there was an animal crossing the road. When I braked there was a very loud noise. it sounded like metal on metal.

On Saturday the 23rd of November I took the car into Tyre Mart where they informed me that the front shocks are completely worn, the brake pads are worn out and that the front left tyre has severe separation. I contacted the sales person and asked him how is this possible if it just went through the road worthy tested and passed.

I asked numerous times for both the vehicles road worthy certificates and there is no response. I have now asked to please cancel the deal, However I was told that I have to take the car back on my own costs and I cannot get back my deposit. I will not drive the car because it is not safe especially to drive 300km! and for them not to give me back my deposit after losing so much money because of there misleading, *********** and *****ulent reports.

The matter will now be escalated to the motor industry ombudsman to try and resolve this issue and get my money back!
