Within a month, the car has issues
On Friday the 08th of November, I went to Germiston branch to collect my car polo TSI, the whole process of buying the car was seamless and it went well. It deserved a 5 stars but then....
A week and a half later I started noticing that the engine was vibrating. I took the car to a RMI accredited repair center and they checked the car and they reported that the engine top mounting, gearbox top mounting , cambelt and front break pads need replacement. I asked them to do a claim for the mountings through Innovation group because a warranty was taken on the car during purchase. The repair center mentioned that they are waiting for authorization from Innovation. During that time period, I went to webuycars in Germiston to collect my license disc, so I looked for the salesman( Mphumelelo). When I found him, I explained to him that the car has issues, He advised that I should of informed him earlier and he would of solved the issue fast.
On Monday 25th of November, I called the salesman and he advised that i take the car from the repair center and bring it to Webuycars and he will have all the issues sorted. The car was taken to Webuycars in Germiston on Tuesday and I even shared the quote with the salesman regarding repairs which are needed. The car was then taken by Webuycars to a repair centre nearby and it was there for six days (including weekend).I always had to call the salesman for updates on the car, which was very unfair. I ended up calling the repair centre because I could see on my car tracker where the car was and I asked them when they will be done with my car . The said the car will be completedv on Monday at 16:00 02 Dec 2024.
The car was then returned to webuycars on the 02 December 2024. The sales just gave my partner the keys and said everything is sorted but to my surprise the only work done on the car was the brakepads. When I ask the salesman of the quote or the work which was done on the car, he does not respond to my messages. When I call the repair Centre to tell me what work was done on my car they tell me they need to speak to the salesman first and get approval to tell me. I dont understand that part as well.
In summary I was sold a car with issues which were never declared to me and when I make follow ups on the repair or trying to find out what work was done , I am being ignored. I will never buy a car from webuycars , this left a sour taste in my mouth. I am supposed to be enjoying the car that I just bought but I am busy chasing quotes and feedbacks. I am not happy with the way this is done, why can't he just be open on the repair which was done and what was not done.
