Webuycars.co.za takes 3 months to resolve while I still wait for my car!
I purchased a car from We Buy Cars (WBC)on the 14 Jan In the first week of getting the car, I started having problems (not starting and excess oil usage). I reported this to the sales guy and customer service for more than a month stating that I am using Ubers because I am getting stuck and have to leave the car at work or at a mall. They did not even care to assist or give a way forward. Then on the 20 Feb a month later, WBC said I should take the car to the WBC partner workshop, Bosch Service centre and they will handle it. The car was in the workshop for 2mths without proper communication with me and Bosch. (Even Bosch their partner was frustrated because no response to emails and calls for weeks on this car) By the way, the car is still there today. In the meantime, I am paying for a vehicle that I am not using and I am also paying for transport to work and back. Then after all the struggles that I have been through for the last 3 mths without a car I sent an email to WBCs stating that will go on 702, then only does WBC on the 19 Apr confirmed they will cancel the deal and they will pay back all monies that I spend on the car and treat it as urgent (well it is definitely not urgent as I still don’t have the money or the car). I can understand that things will go wrong BUT I cannot understand how they will not communicate, not assist and not give the customer proper feedback for 3mths. No car for 3 months since I bought it and no assistance from We buy cars to resolve it. After realizing that it was their fault, is it fair that after all that I went through? Still today 22 Apr they have not paid back the money and not responded and not called back. What about the 3mths of total inconvenience cost of transport, impact on both my wife and my jobs as I supposed to drop and pick her up from work. What about Service recovery. This is TOTALLY unfair. I would like WBC to take full responsibility for the concept of Service Recovery. Cancelling the deal and paying back all the money due to me is not service recovery, that is what should be done anyway. What about the 3 months that my family and I have suffered without a vehicle. The inconvenience caused because they did not respond for weeks at a time. They should have at least assisted with a vehicle for that time while they were resolving the issue. They have to do some sort of Service Recovery for the 3 months that I was left without proper customer service and close the loop. This is only fair as I am still waiting for a clear way forward, my money and a car.

have suffered without a vehicle. The inconvenience that is being caused to me is because WBCs did not follow instructions from the Dekra report and therefore the warranty will not pay for the repairs and the fact that WBC did not respond for weeks at a time. WBC should have at least assisted with a loan vehicle for that time while they were resolving their internal issues. WBC have to do some sort of Service Recovery for the 4 months that I was left without a car and proper customer service and close the loop. WBC must loan a vehicle to me for the time that I was without a car OR Fix the car that they sold to me. WBC forced me to take a Warranty for the Car with Innovation and still they cannot fix the car. How can you do this to a customer? This is really unbelievable. Please can WBC double-check internally or externally with your Customer Service professionals on how to do service recovery. This situation is now seriously impacting my job because of transport issues. 4 months going on 5 months is really unacceptable, I am sure you agree.
