WeBuyCars- What a joke!!!

On the 28th November 2022 we purchased a vehicle from WeBuyCars in Brackenfell Cape Town. While dealing with the sales rep, Damien, we made it expressly clear that the car was being purchased for the sole purpose of being used as an Uber e-hailing vehicle. During our discussions with Damien, we expressed the need to have the vehicle licensed and registered as quickly as possible so as to make the most of the holiday and Christmas rush - to which Damien rep**** that WeBuyCars would have the registration and licensing done in 14 days… approx 12th Dec. After numerous messages to Damien from the 12th Dec we finally received feedback on the 19th December informing us that the person doing the licensing at WeBuyCars had gone on leave… After waiting patiently for another 3 weeks to pass and no progress being made, we sent Damien a message requesting his managers telephone number…. Still waiting for that… After more messages with no action being taken we eventually decided to drive from Kenilworth to WeBuyCars in Brackenfell to speak to anyone that may be able to help (90km there and back at our expense). Great News! We had located and chatted to the sales manager Francois who had assured us he would get to the bottom of this issue, expressing how embarrassed he was for the treatment we had received. Our problems were over! I except for the fact that Francois is just as *********** as Damien! He has made nothing but empty promises while doing absolutely nothing about this issue!

So here we are, almost 90 days after buying a car…. 1. We still do not have the registration or license papers - forget the fact that we paid R3500 for the service. 2. We have insured our vehicle as a business use e-hail vehicle which comes at a ***y R1500/month additional premium 3. The registration on a purchased vehicle by law must be done in 21 days… it’s almost 90 4. The original license disc on the vehicle has now expired an as such we are now driving this vehicle *******ly 5. We have driven to Brackenfell twice at our expense (the 2nd time was to have the vehicle driven to Stellenbosch for road worthy because the original road worth certificate had expired) 6. We are eagerly waiting for Francois to reply to any of the 3 emails sent to Francois in the last week

Thank God their name is WeBuyCars…. Coz they sure as **** can’t sell them!!!!
