WEBUYCARS WARNING!!!

I purchased a car from Webuycars in September and paid a R5000 deposit, which was supposed to be refunded on the 16th of September.

Since then, I have sent nearly 30 emails trying to resolve this. The branch staff refuse to speak to me, or to help me resolve the issue, and despite logging queries through their customer care portal, I’ve received minimal assistance. One person responded, but every week there’s a new excuse for the delay. Last week, I was asked to send a bank confirmation letter, which I did, but since then, no one has been reachable.

Every time I follow up, I’m met with yet another excuse or what feels like dishonesty. It’s been almost three months of constant emailing and frustration just to get my deposit back.

If you’re considering dealing with them, be very cautious about paying a deposit. I’ll be reporting this matter to the Motor Industry Ombud and cannot recommend this company to anyone.
