WeBuyCars Transparency and Communication

So this is a mixed bag here. I was looking at buying a vehicle from WeBuyCars and started the process in December. Was given a sales consultant to deal with and finance provisional approved prior to Christmas from Standard Bank. Asked them to get in touch with the bank I bank with, which is Nedbank and told that it will take a couple of days. Nothing. Follow up messages indicating they they are waiting from confirmation. Holidays arrive and radio silence. Eventually in early Jan have to submit additional paperwork which I was never asked for in the beginning. Had to go back into the system to send an enquiry for the same vehicle. Now I am dealing with another sales agent that actually does not communicate and just sends screenshots of emails from the finance team asking that I must reply. Finance approved again, but no discussion with respect to what is included in the finance. Just explained over the phone what they have done. All of this should have been done through email correspondence with respect to extras added to the finance, such as a tracker system, warranty and service plan that I was not even consulted about. Had to ask via email for the offer from Standbank and the offer to purchase. Did not even share or discuss what the service plan or warranty cover or sharing these documents with me. I guess one would need to ask to see these, if not you just buy and then work it out. Feel as if WeBuyCars just wants to push sales and has forgot about the personnel touch when dealing with people. So we get to the stage nearly three weeks later (understand this is over the holidays) and finance is approved on a Friday and indicated that it is approved and I can collect. Again not seeing what had been approved with respect to extend warranty, service plan etc, but I can come pick up the vehicle. No feedback given with respect to which banks we contacted and feedback from them. Again I ask about Nedbank and told that they are waiting for employment confirmation from them and that this may take a couple of days. I indicate that I bank with Nedbank and then I have to go out of my way to get in touch with Nedbank and discuss finance with them, which eventually landed up in me starting to second guess the option as Nedbank could potentially get a better interest rate than Standard Bank. I was going to take the vehicle based on Standard Bank offer, but asked if the service plan and warranty could be removed so that I can investigate options. Was told that the warranty could not be removed as the vehicle is a 2016 model and that it is the policy from WeBuyCars that vechiles that don’t have warranties or warranties have expired must be purchased with a warranty. Had no clue about this in the beginning, if I new this then I would never had proceeded with the deal from the beginning. I was not even told that I could look at third parties and get my own and then provide that. I even asked if I can pay the warranty in a monthly instalment and was told not it has to be loaded with the finance. Well that brought the deal to an end and I did not proceed. Even though it states on their website that cars have to be purchased with a warranty of it had expired may be the case, but it needs to be pointed out that this may be against legislation, where the customers had the right to choose. Secondly and second hand car needs to come standard with a six month warranty from a dealership. So if you take out a two year warranty and I six month ow meant to be included according to legislation you actually are being cheated and paying for six months where that should be included as a standard. I actually feel that there has been a lack of transparency and honesty from WeBuyCars. Poor sales consultant engagement, having to follow up over the three week period and two applications later and then told you cannot purchase the vehicle without the warranty. I know that I will get a standard reply from the bot from WeBuyCars and will never receive an actual call as they are more interested in pushing out vehicles and not customers engagement, building relationships and satisfaction. Wanted to put this out there so people think about these aspects when engaging with them.
