WeBuyCars The Dome - Faulty Vehicle and Delayed Cancellation

WeBuyCars The Dome - Faulty Vehicle and Delayed Cancellation I purchased a Fiat 500X 1.4 DDT Cross from WeBuyCars The Dome on 25 August 2026. I was pressured by the salesperson to collect the vehicle earlier than planned, but within 48 hours of ownership, the engine warning light came on while driving. I immediately returned the vehicle and requested that the deal be cancelled. It has now been 14 days, and I still have no written confirmation that the vehicle sale or finance agreement has been cancelled. Customer service continues to give me different explanations, saying they are waiting for the banking my banking app still shows the finance agreement as active and that I will be debited on 28 September 2026. My concerns • I was pressured into collecting the vehicle. • The vehicle developed an engine fault within 48 hours. • My cancellation request has been delayed with no written proof. • Customer service has provided inconsistent information. • The finance agreement remains active despite the vehicle being returned. Resolution I expect I want immediate written confirmation that the sale and finance agreement have been cancelled, confirmation that I will not be debited on 28 September 2026, and a formal explanation for the delays. If this matter is not resolved urgently, I will escalate it to MIOSA and the National Consumer Commission.
