WeBuyCars Nandi Drive: Mechanical ***** & ****d DEKRA Clauses Exposed (***)
WeBuyCars Nandi Drive sold me a 2009 BMW X5 (LSH441W). Internal records prove that 18 days prior to sale, they logged 10 active diagnostic fault codes, including Code 00429A (Turbo Failure) and Code 0041F2 (Dead Cooling Fan). To mask these defects and force a sale, their workshop manually glued a cracked intake boost pipe with silicone and physically cut/bridged the engine wiring harness to permanently blind the dashboard warning cluster.
This active concealment caused a catastrophic failure over the following months. Imbalances forced severe fuel injector leaks, causing toxic diesel exhaust fumes to pool under the hood and vacuum directly into the cabin. This exposed my wife, 5-year-old child, and 1-year-old infant to dangerous carbon monoxide poisoning while driving.
When confronted, their claims desk (Angelina Masango) issued a formal rejection letter trying to hold me to a signed acknowledgment of a "Dekra condition report." This is massive corporate misrepresentation under CPA Section 41. No independent DEKRA report exists for this vehicle. WeBuyCars dropped DEKRA and substituted its own internal subsidiary, Inspectify, using an in-house checklist to hide the active engine codes.
They forced me to use public transport to deliver the parts to Turbo Exchange KZN for an RMI assessment, and now refuse to pay the R11,097.50 invoice. Official Motor Industry Ombudsman (MIOSA) Case Number 519658 has been formally registered, and a compliance report filed with DEKRA Head Office for trademark exploitation. I am currently stranded on public transport with two infants because WeBuyCars used deceptive corporate paperwork to hide a dangerous, *****ulent vehicle build. Fix this immediately.
