WEBuyCars - Licensing Saga

I bought a vehicle from the Brackenfell Branch in early May 2022. On that day the service was excellent. I was told they would contact me when the registration papers are ready for collection. Never heard from them until I started making enquires. I eventually only got the papers a month later. The expiry date on the license disk is end may 2022. I took the car for roadworthy and then went to license it only to be told that the vehicle cannot be licensed and that there are outstanding fees on the license by the previous owner which must be paid up first. I phoned the complaints line and the consultant says he will put me through to the Brackenfell branch and as expected no answer and no phone call back from my voice message i had to leave requesting for them to phone me back. Lodged a online compliant and no reply to that either. I should of seen a red flag when I collected the papers as they had a notice up telling the customers which Traffic licensing departments will not help you like Mitchells Plain, Ottery ect. I now sit with a car that i spent a great deal of money on and i cant drive it. The RCL paper states its title holder is WeBuyCars and the license disk states expiry date is end of may 2022 how is it possible that there are outstanding license fees on this car.
