WeBuyCars, ********** of NOTE!!!
I bought a car from WeBuyCars on the 16th of March for R110 000. Before I went to view the car I reviewed a dekra report provided on their website which portrayed the car as being in a very good condition besides the passenger door which looked like it needed some paint work. I told the salesman that I will take it for a full body repaint.
When I took the car to the panelbeaters I was told that this car was involved in a very horrific accident and I got a quote of over R40 000 with a disclaimer that when they strip the car there might be other parts or areas that might have not been repaired properly. I then decided to rather sell it back to WeBuyCars...
A buyer came out to evaluate the car and I got a shock of my life when I got an evaluation report that rated the car as being in a very poor condition(below average) and I was offered R85 000 for it.
I tried to raise a complaint with the customer care department which wasn't even empathetic at all, only concentrated on the fact that I signed a contract and highlighted that there's terms and conditions as well as disclaimers all over their warehouse or dealership. But this is clear that I was ********** and deceived, how can WeBuyCars sell a car to me for R110 000 with a dekra report valuing it at over R125 000 and 4 weeks later get an R85 000 offer for it because it's in a poor condition?
I am planning to start a #movement and also get in contact with Wendy Knowler, I have also identified quite a number of individuals who will be glad to join in on those #movement. We are tired of big companies taking us for a ride and de*****ing us of our hard earned money.
