We bought a car at We Buy Cars Midstream on 27 April 2022. The Dekra report only showed that the arm bushes are torn and there is a oil leak. On the photo of the oil leak it showed a small oil leak. The speedometer also showed that the petrol usage is 16l per 100km. On 05 May 2022 we contacted the sales pers and asked if we can return the car as financially we can't afford it as the petrol usage was 25l per 100km. The sales person said that we cannot return the car and get a full refund as they will offer me less. As we couldn't afford the car we contacted We Buy Cars again to see what they will offer to purchase the car. After the car was test drive by a We buy Car employee the fuel consumption stood on 46l per 100km. As the offer was to low we took the car to a dealer. The dealer informed us as the cars engine makes as funny noise nobody will be interested to purchase it. We told the dealer that the car had that noise since we bought it but is was lighter and that we didn't thought much about it at it was not reflected on the Dekra report. The sound was worse after it was test drive by the We Buy Cars employee. We took the car to a mechanic to look wat is wrong so that it can be fix so that we can sell the car. The mechanic quote is R20980 and then most parts will be second hand. When the car was bought the km was 117000 and it is only standing on 118000.
