WeBuyCars Don't Care Attitude

We recently visited the WeBuyCars branch at the Dome in Randburg and although we were helped and got a car, I should warn potential clients that the process is not as easy as they explain.

We first visited the Dome branch on Saturday 28 February 2026 around 11:00. We were told were to find the car we were interested in, and as we entered the car lot outside, all the sales staff disappeared. We walked for about 2 hours and eventually a lady started shouting for assistance, or they would have probably locked us in the lot. We went inside the dome and spoke to "Information" who said they will send someone to assist us. We waited another hour and just before closing a person called "David" came to us and announced that they are closing in 10 minutes and we need to come back tomorrow. We were frustrated but David promised that he will meet with us the next morning at 10:00 and assist us.

We went back the next day and waited for opening and stood around another hour, trying to phone David and just got no answer. I was so angry and immediately went to the Information desk and complaint about the service. Eventually a very helpful Henri was assigned to us, and he helped us to find the vehicle we were interested in and bought cash.

Wow, what a negative feeling buying a car cash and you get nothing - not a bow, not a picture, not even a little gift. NOTHING.

For people buying cash and having such a bad experience, we thought that the company cared, but all that was important was the transfer of the cash.

My neighbor wants to buy a bakkie, but I cannot recommend this branch or the company as I just feel that a bit more care can be shown to the customer and making the buying process feel more special and appreciated.
