WeBuyCars Dome withholding R5000 deposit after successful finance payout and registration-ASHTON ATKINSON
I am deeply frustrated with the total lack of response from WeBuyCars Dome regarding my R5,000 holding deposit. I paid this deposit to reserve a vehicle, which was subsequently 100% financed and paid out in full by WesBank. There was a temporary delay due to an ID registration issue at the traffic department, which I personally went and resolved. Following this, WeBuyCars successfully finalized the registration and sent the licensing disc and number plates to the Midstream branch, which I collected last week Friday (4 September 2026).The deal is completely concluded. WesBank has paid WeBuyCars in full, and the car is registered in my name. The sales agent previously stated that the refund would be processed once registration was complete, but she has now gone completely silent and is ignoring my emails. She claimed a "21-day registration period" applies, but the registration is ALREADY done and the papers are in my hand.WeBuyCars Dome is holding my R5,000 overpayment with absolutely no legal or financial basis. I demand that a finance manager from the Dome branch contact me today with immediate proof of payment for my refund. Stock/Contract Number: B3EF09527. Ashton Atkinson is just a disappointment as F&I manager probably as a trainee expected high level of professionalism as she never follow up on the refund including response to email i guess after deal concluded and commission confirmed you look for next customer or victim to frustrate, this is a shame to be send from pillar to post and dead silence on both email and whatsapp, what a shame.
