Webuycars disregard the CPA!

In February I purchased a vehicle from the Midstream branch. Upon the purchase I was told there were no major defects or problems with the car. Not even a month after the purchase the car was giving major mechanical problems so I decided to investigate further.

I got a background check done on the vehicle and it was not pretty. The car had previously been in a major accident and had several major problems, to name a few, high chance of overheating, clutch malfunctions, oil leaks and engine coolant leaks.

This car was previously sold to someone else by webuycars and taken back to webuycars before myself. I bought the car 3 days after the car was returned to webuycars and this shows me that webuycars definitely knew of the extremity of the damage to the car.

After confronting webuycars, we of course encountered their usual response - “The Consumer Protection Act does not apply to us.”

Nevertheless, I eventually returned the car receiving a full refund but saw the car again being resold online for the same price I bought it for - clearly showing that this was of no concern for them and that they will proceed to do the same thing again with every car they sell.

I would never ever recommend anyone buy a car here!!! They are absolutely appalling with their after sales and completely disregard your rights as a consumer.

I do not want a response from webuycars as I have already dealt with this matter. Just want to inform the public of this unacceptable behavior!
