WeBuyCars & Dekra misleading report

we buy cars issue dekra reports on all cars which is the first and primary sales tool they use to assure you of the state of a vehicle. it is designed to influence the buyer. we all perceive dekra as credible experts and the report certainly influences us. if the report is misleading then that is a huge problem. dekra gets millions in revenue from webuycars. dekra's website markets its service to dealer promising to: 1. help sell more cars 2. help sell at higher profit 3. help mitigate legal liability and responsibility 4. with their credible, expert, and comprehensive inspection, assure the buyer, transparently of the cars condition.

it is clear what this report is designed to do. and it is clear that it benefits the dealer and dekra, although the public perceive dekra to be a service to the buyer. in my case, (and possibly many others) i received a misleading report that influenced me to buy a vehicle that was in much worse condition and therefore also over priced. i immediately brought it to their attention when we discovered the issue. they rejected the claim regarding a gearbox issue, stating that there was transmission warning light illuminated in the car, which was also included in the report. this is simply false, it was never disclosed and is not on the report. did they conceal it...? the report did say that there were no defects detected on the gearbox, no visible oil loss, and that function was not impaired. bear in mind that this is an expert opinion that we are relying on. this is not an opinion from a housewife or your unqualified neighbour... perhaps if they said nothing about the gearbox then maybe that is my risk and i would have to consider that risk, but the suggestion that the gearbox was fine, by an expert, convinced me that there was nothing major wrong with the car. Webuycars' systems and documents are designed to dodge any responsibility. for example, their small print states that there is no warranty while in fact the Consumer protection act states that there must be a 6 month warranty. if the general public are not experts in these things, webuycars will bully you into believing that they have no responsibility. their small print also states an acknowledgement that the buyer was not influenced to buy the vehicle, which a reasonable person would consider to mean being coerced by a sales man, however, the dekra report is absolutely the first and deliberate means of influence. if this report is misleading then that is a huge issue, especially considering that they are doing thousands of these. i immediately made them aware of the issue and have given them every opportunity to come to the party. they have declined with false statements and sought every opportunity and technicality to avoid responsibility and ****** me around. there has been no indication of good faith or moral compass to even consider a resolution. my complaint number was over 21000 which indicates just how many complaints are actually coming in.

i would love to be able to report that my issue with webuycars has been resolved and that they took some responsibility and sorted out the problem, but at this stage that is not the case and this bad experience is all i can report. i have serious concerns about buying anything from webuycars and no longer apply any credibility to a dekra report.

all people and companies make mistakes but how they rectify them makes all the difference.
