Good service from Salesman, Horrible service from WeBuyCars...

In Dec '22 we decided to trade in one of our cars at the WBC Brackenfell branch for a smaller vehicle that they had on the floor. The salesman, Imraan Fortune, was extremely helpful and the service was top notch. We took the car for a test drive and agreed that we would like to proceed with the trade-in. Imraan arranged for one of the buyers to inspect our car and make an offer. The buyer indicated that they would be interested in closing the deal but we would need to provide them with a report that the airbags were functioning. Fast forward to Jan '23, with report in-hand, we made contact with Imraan and the buyer promptly called us back with an offer. We were happy to proceed with the deal and started making arrangements to pay the balance for the new car in cash. Few hours later the buyer phones back and says sorry, the senior senior boss has retracted the offer....no deal. What a poor excuse of a business, but in hindsight, this was probably a blessing in disguise. With all the horror stories about the s**** cars that WBC swindle the public with, it's probably for the best that we didn't do this deal. As a matter of principle, we will not be buying from them, ever.
