Webuycars Brackenfell does not offer after good sales support. They would show you the middle finger once you leave their premises with their vehicles.
I had the most horrible experience with the staff of webuycars!
A few days prior to buying the vehicle cash, I came across this vehicle through an ad I've seen on the webuycars website. After contacting the customer care center, I was then put in touch with a salesman by the name of Erin from the Cape Town Brackenfell Webuycars branch. I advised him that I was desperate in buying the vehicle and I was prepared to drive all the way up and collect it. He then advised me to pay the 10% deposit to secure the vehicle, which I happily did. On the 23rd of July, I rode all the way from P.E to Cape Town and when I arrived at the dealership I spent nearly 3hours just to get the transaction paperwork to sign despite the fact that I had cash on hand. Unbelievably, the registration/ownership papers of the vehicle were not at the branch at the signing of the deal. I was assured by the salesman that they would send me the papers within 2-3days and it would be sent via Postnet. Alas! The paperwork was only sent 2 weeks later and when I went to the post office to register my vehicle, they told me the vehicle's papers were incorrect and I needed to contact the dealership for them to send the correct details to me. It was an agonizing extra few days before the proper papers were sent to me via email and only then was I able to register the vehicle and change ownership to my name! Not to mention the long hours of the queueing I had to endure only to be sent back and forth in order to get the correct documents from the dealership!
And that was not all! What left a further bitter taste to my mouth was the fact that the SERVICE HISTORY records of the vehicle were not in my cabriole when I arrived back in P.E. And there was no way for me to check to see if the service book was in the vehicle before I left the dealership because I was under heavy pressure to leave Cape Town fast due to three reasons. Firstly, because the dealership was about to close at that moment. Secondly, the entire bungle of the paperwork fiasco which was their entire fault to begin with, left me very irritable and rather hastened my need to leave the dealership as soon as I possibly could. Thirdly, I didn't want to be too late on the long stretch of road back to P.E as the curfew was still in effect.
When I notified the salesman of the missing Service history book, he advised me to visit my nearest Ford service center in P.E for them to assist. When I visited nearest Ford service center here in P.E they were reluctant to give me all the information because they said that the vehicle was serviced at Brand Ford in Vredendal Western Cape and I needed to get the service history directly from them. From there on, I reverted back to both the salesman as well as the Branch manager Marques Bosch and they appeared reluctant to assist me further. I explained to them that the vehicle has been advertised on the website with a partial service history and I asked them why they cannot assist in sending me the service history records but all I got in response from them is utter silence. And probably a middle finger too because I appear like an idiot trying to contact them on their contact numbers as they appear rather uninterested in answering any of my calls or messages!
I called webuycars National Customer Care on the 19th of August to vent my frustration at the inability of the Brackenfell Branch to offer their clients reasonable and necessary after-sales support. The lady who I spoke to agreed with the merits of my case and promised to get to the bottom of this horrible ordeal. To date (23 Aug), I haven't received any feedback from her office yet.
My concern with this entire delay of the service history records is that the vehicle is very close to its next service and it's a major service that is due. What if anything happens to the vehicle due to the vehicle having no service history record? Will webuycars hold themselves responsible should any mechanical or electrical issue arise due to me not being able to service my vehicle? And even if I am successfully able to have my vehicle serviced without prior service records to show, surely the service center technicians here in P.E who had no prior knowledge of its service history will have to be in a good position of authority to know the ins and outs of the vehicle in order to offer the vehicle the best and appropriate service needs it requires?
I would strongly advise prospective clients to think twice before doing business with the Brackenfell Branch. The salesman and the Branch manager only care about sales and not about the genuine concerns of their customers who are the lifeblood of any successful business. If they had any common decency, they would follow up with my query (which is reasonably fair) and not ignore my calls, sms' and WhatsApp messages. Just to imagine that I traveled all the way from P.E to Cape Town and paying cash on the spot for the vehicle and now this???
I was going to recommend their branch to a few of my family members and close friends who reside in Cape Town but I have changed course to avoid them falling into the same pit I found myself in.
