WEBUYCARS

It is now April 2025.

I sold my car to webuycars in Cape Town in January 2025. Their agent was Zain van Oordt. While the transaction went smoothly in terms of money, they did not register the transfer of ownership for several weeks. During this time one of their drivers acquired a speeding ticket. The ticket was sent to me as I was still the registered owner. I in turn contacted Zain who accepted their responsibility for the ticket and promised to arrange payment. Despite several reminders and further promises to settle the fine. webuycars did nothing. I have now been refused the renewal of my other car's licence because of the outstanding fine. I have now paid the fine myself.

It is clear that Zain and webuycars have no concern for their customers once the initial transaction is completed so just be careful when dealing with them
