WEBUYCAR-SOLD UNSAFE VEHICLE WITH CRACKED STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS (MIOSA ***)

I purchased this vehicle on 28/11/2025 based on the WeBuyCars Inspectify Condition Report (DM017626). As a non-mechanic, I re**** entirely on this report, which stated the steering, suspension, engine, and braking systems were functioning as expected.

Within days of purchase, an independent inspection by CARtime Benoni concluded the vehicle "is not road worthy at all and unsafe to drive."

The Inspectify Report failed to disclose critical, non-visible safety and structural defects, which include:

Cracked Control Arm (Driver's Side): A fundamental structural failure.

Cracked Engine and Upper Gearbox Mounts.

Worn Steering Components (Rack ends and tie rod ends).

Rusted Brake Booster and Faulty Driver's Seat Belt.

WeBuyCars formally denied responsibility (Outcome Letter 09/12/2025), focusing only on minor issues they acknowledged (like tyres and shocks) and ignoring these major safety failures. The quote to repair the undisclosed items exceeds R30,000.00, confirming the severity.

Action Taken: This matter has been formally escalated to the Motor Industry Ombudsman of South Africa (MIOSA) under Case Reference 512704.

Resolution Required: WeBuyCars must immediately agree to either:

Pay for and facilitate the full repair of all critical, undisclosed safety defects.

Issue a full refund of R29,345.00 (Purchase Price, Admin Fee, and necessary Tyre costs) in exchange for the return of the vehicle.
