WE BUY CARS S****YARDS IN SOUTH AFRICA

I Purchased a car from WE Buy Cars on FRIDAY 22/03/2019. i Asked the salesman named Brendan if there were any faults as the car smoked as it started. He responded that the engine was just cold. I asked again ,He then asked his colleague Jaco who responded to him infront of me in afrikaans that his not a proffessional and they dont sell "***". Jaco made a copy of my id and I Made immediate payment in Jaco's presence . He sent me a whatsapp message confirming transaction before i left with the vehicle . A 2006 Polo 1.6 Comfortline. I was not asked to sign any documentation But was given an invoice. i stopped at the Engen garage around the corner from WE Buy Cars. they checked oil and found there was no oil in the engine at all. i put 3 pints. The next day (Saturday) i put in another 2 pints. Due to an oil leak and smoke i took it to my mechanic on Sunday who confirmed that they sold me a car with the engine almost gone. i contacted both salesman as oil was again short. They said they will speak to Angelica the manager as its her call. On Monday they notified me that there isn't anything they can do about the car and they cannot take it back nor will they reimburse me any part of the payment to fix the engine. They kept insisting that the vehicle was sold "as is". i told them that according to CPA its ******* what they did by selling me a vehicle which isnt roadworthy and selling me a vehicle not in proper working condition and is ********* but to no avail. Through their many ads you would think We Buy Cars are a reputable delaership but actually they are only out to make a quick buck and scheme clients any which way they can. They believe they dont need the repeat business from clients and arent concerned about messing up the relationship between WE Buy Cars and their clients. I am utterly disgusted at the poor level of service and the failure of the people representing We Buy Cars to use common sense.
