We Buy Cars PE poor sales practice

After thoroughly checking out and then test driving a VW Tiguan, my daughter was intending to purchase. another couple wanted to test drive the vehicle after us. We said to the sales person, Chad, and the couple wanting to test drive the vehicle, that we were more than likely going to purchase the Tiguan. We just needed to get a trade in amount, from the Buyer, for my daughters car, and then finalize the final purchase amount (it was to be a cash purchase).

We were told that we had first option. This all happened mid afternoon. My daughter and myself, in agreement with the the guys at We Buy Cars PE, said we would be in the next day to finalize the purchase. My daughter had wanted to have her father there for this experience too.

So, all kitted out smartly for the photographs to come, my daughter was ready to receive her first real car she had worked hard and saved hard, to procure. Only to find out, that the Sales man had accepted a deposit from the couple, who test drove the car after us.

Our "you have first option"and the agreement to do the deal the next day, meant absolutely nothing. Our anger and disappointment at this poor sales ethic and underhandedness was huge. The lack of common decency displayed, not contacting us on our cellulars, to discuss the other couples intention of putting down a deposit there and then.

This was a shocking experience for us and extremely poor practice from the We Buy Cars, PE team.
