We Buy Cars not taking responsibility for a vehicle that I purchased from them

On 04/03/2020 I went to We Buy Cars on Solomon Mahlangu in Pretoria to sell my BMW X5 and bought a Audi A8 from them. I drove the car for several days and the car broke down just before the lockdown. Since we were on lockdown I waited until it was possible to contact We Buy Cars. I sent a email and a lady contacted me and I told here the problem I had. She told me that the consumer protection act does not apply since they are a wholesaler of vehicles bit told me to email some documents to her. I sent the documents and got a reply from the company stating that they can't help with anything and sent me the invoice that I had signed when I purchased the vehicle. I now have an expenses of getting another engine for the car and don't have any means of transportation
