We Buy Cars must change name to Customers Buy Trash

I bought a car from We Buy Cars Midstream on 13 December 2024, and I test drove it briefly in the presence of Johan the sales rep. I asked to test drive on the freeway and he declined saying it was not allowed. Still I bought the car as I trusted WBC and that the car had a Platinum status - regardless of that I couldn't drive fast as I wasn't on the freeway. Since then the car has had endless problems including the aircon, squeaky noise regardless of the changing of brake pads and disks, shock absorbers, poor balance to the point that I couldn't drive above 100 km/h. I had to change tyres, replace disks and brake pads and service the car. They paid for the aircon and shock absorbers. Because the noise is not going away and their own mechanic can't explain the noise I feel unsafe and I decided to cancel the contract. Both keys display flat battery but they have been replaced. Sometimes the car kicks uncomfortably when I take off. They owe me R15 000 in addition to the purchase price. They have declined to pay me instead they are charging me a rental fee to the tune of R8700 and they say they will be nice and not make me pay it though, but that means I lose my R15 000. They no longer want to engage on this matter and their agent Tianari doesn't even return my calls or connect me to her/his seniors. What is even worse is they initially agreed to refund me and the only matter under negotiation was the amount for rental. They changed that decision and didn't even tell me why. Horrible stuff. Never trust that Dekra report they present to you.
