Watch for We Buy Cars

I bought a used car from Webuycars.co.za in Richmond Park Branch Cape town which l did online in March 2023 . They said l need to inspect a car before l buy it , we agreed that l was going to send my mechanic for inspection since l was in KZN . I sent the mechanic for inspection but they didn't allow him to drive the car , anyway the car stalled as they were entering the dealership gate from the test drive , they had to push it in to park it .

When l asked the salesman about the issue he told me it's just the battery needs to be replaced . They delivered the vehicle after a month to Durban branch of their own with no ownership documents . When l asked for the documents the salesman said they will send them after twenty days if I'm happy with the car and if l meet the officials and being fined for the licence was expired they will take responsibility . I took the car and drove home , it broke within 40 minutes of driving . I called the salesman to let him know to which he said l must take it to the mechanic to check the problem as their standard procedure . After the results came they said it's my responsibility because l signed the documents which said the car was faulty . To sign the documents was explained to me by the salesman as part of sales procedure not to acknowledge the condition of the car . Up to now I'm stuck with a broken undrivable car without even a logbook to begin with .

That's my experience with Webuycars Richmond Branch in Cape Town ,so everybody be careful there.
