Very very bad experience

I have been considering to sell my car for a while now(since the start of the year) and also considered on buying a car at Webuycars. In May 2024 i did an assessment on my car and they offered me 80k for it, which was reasonable at the time, i then went on with life looking for a vehicle to purchase knowing what i might sell my car for. In July 2024 i found a car at Webuycars Silverlakes branch, did the online application, got a very quick reply, and signed an offer to purchase. The salesman kept me up to date with what was happening, when the car went to roadworthy, he checked the 4x4 and drove it around in the yard sending me videos of the car and i was very impressed with the service. I signed the quote for the service that was going to happen the next day before i went up to JHB to collect. On the day of the service, the salesman phoned me and said we have a problem, the car is smoking and the mechanics said it will cost me a lot of money to fix the injectors... something didn't add up and i phoned the mechanic where the service was agreed upon... The mechanic assured me that the vehicle is NOT in his garage and that Webuycars sent it to another mechanic shop. Furiously, i phoned the sales agent and he said that their head mechanic sent the car to another mechanic because of a bad oil leak (NOTE: The car came back the day before from roadworthy, and it passed) I asked the salesman "How can a car start to leak oil and have injector failure while standing overnight in your store?" his answer was "Things like this happen sometimes" Immediately i canceled the deal because no one was honest in this case. a week or two later the car is back on the website, same price, same report, and "sale in progress" I asked the salesman about it and he said he'd let me know.. he didn't.. Now i was furious about this whole story and kept this review to myself UNTIL i decided to sell my car officially and buy a car at one of our local dealerships (not webuycars). I made another enquiry for webuycars to buy my car, and they now offered me 25k less than in May, with notes that the car has been in an accident. Now my insurance can assure you that is has never been in an accident.

I will NEVER recommend Webuycars to anyone, not even to buy a bicycle from.
