VERY UNHAPPY WITH WE BUY CARS!!!
Im utterly disgusted. On the 19th of July I went to the dome to collect the vehicle I purchased trough finance a GWM H5 2.0D VGT. I was obviously very exited.
It was a joke from the start. I was told by Ashton telephonicaly a few days prior to collection that insurance was not compulsory, this happened after I bluntly asked her to just tell me what the compulsory things were as she was trying to add all kinds of things pushing my premuim up with more than double what was initially discussed. She told me the 2 year Motor warranty was compulsory but not insurance the motor warranty was about R2000 added to the total of the purchase which is fine we agreed to this . So on the day of collection we sat in her office (a Saturday) we were made to sign inspection papers although the inspection was not even done yet! She told us that the guy who has to do this is busy but will come down shortly to go trough everything with us.
The vehicle was sent to the mechanic the week before collection for a service and fixing of an oil leak that was specified on the dekra report. We agreed to this and another R1000 was added to my total.
In her office I asked about proof of the work that was done, I was shrugged off very quickly. She gave me a piece of paper "an invoice" from the mechanic. No stamp nothing. I told her that I wasn't really happy with this. She just spoke over me and continued. Then Brian showed up to do the "inspection" this was even worse.... He did not take any time. He also seemed clueless. My husband ended up showing him most of what was supposed to be checked. We finally went back to her office where we were told by Ashton that we can't take the car without insurance. Obviously I was lived as we had that discussion days before. Bare in mind this my first vehicle purchase via finance. Now 15:00 in the afternoon after waiting a week for the mechanic to finish his work, and driving over an hour to collect the vehicle I'm told this. She then proceeded in putting me in contact with outsurance. Luckily I manged to get insurance sorted. We took the car. A few days later we noticed an oil leak as well as a shudder on the gearlever. We contavyed her and was told to go back to the mechanic. I explained to her that I was not keen on that idea as he was supposed to sort these things already and obviously didn't. Alps hes more than an hours drive from where I stay. She then told me to phone Brian he'll arrange for us to see a mechanic closer to where we stay. We phoned Brian but no answer. Ever. My husband phoned the mechanic (the original mechanic) and was told that he is not allowed to talk to us. We then proceeded in contacting the customer care line, a lady then told my husband that we are not covered for oil leaks. Again I contacted Ashton, who then confirmed that we are covered for oil leaks. She said she spoke to Brian's manager - and that he will contact us to resolve. I have not receibed any calls. Ashton Is also now not responding, nor is Brian. I then sent an email to the complaints department. Now I'm receiving emails from a person aking a bunch ridiculous questions - things I have already explained more than once. This person is saying that they phoned me but yet I have received no calls.
They spoiled the whole experience of purchasing my first finance vehicle completely. They were just rushing to get home.
I'm so disappointed as I really like this car and I feel it's unfair as I was billed for the correction of these things and it was obviously never done.
There's just no feedback. Or help. Dome is absolutely unprofessional, it feels like We buy cars got the deal and now they just don't care.
I wil never recommend anyone to make use of their services ever again.
