Very disappointing service

To say I am disappointed with the service and complaint resolution of We Buy Cars is a massive understatement. I feel incredibly let down by this company at the moment. They have been built up through a number of adverts that I have heard on the radio and seen when driving around town. It seems other clients have had a very pleasant experience - but unfortunately I have had anything but.

In short, I organized for Hein from We Buy Cars to come and do a valuation on my car on Wednesday the 2nd of August. On that day, I received a call from Hein who said he would prefer to come on the Sunday as it was more convenient for him in terms of where he needed to be on that day. I didn't have a problem with that in principle - though from a client service point of view I believe that you should always stick to the initial arrangement you make with a client. Nevertheless, I accepted his request to change the date.

The Sunday (6 August) came and went with no sign of Hein. I spent my entire morning waiting for him and he didn't so much as call me to even say he couldnt come. Incredibly disappointing and terrible client service.

So then I sent an email to We Buy Cars expressing my disappointment. I always prefer to try and resolve the matter this way rather than resorting to Hello Peter. I was unavailable to take a call at the time and so received a very unprofessionally worded email from a Buyer Manager (Gerrie). "I am trying to get hold of u on the phone would u please let me know what time i can call u.? "

If this is the type of response I get from a manager, with that sort of care free spelling, then I have no trust in We Buy Cars. Lets remember - you guys mostly deal with clients through your online website. You are supposed to be able to communicate in a way that expresses professionalism and care in the way you speak to your clients. This response did anything but convince me that your managers are of a high calibre and care for your clients and their concerns.

I am fully prepared to remove this review if you can explain to me (in writing, so I have something official) what happened that meant I received such shocking client service. I had to take pretty much two days out of my schedule to avail myself to someone who never pitched for the appointment. Client service means putting the client first. Please get this right. I am very, very disappointed.

Note - I would like a written response first. I am prepared to discuss this verbally after that if need be.
