Vehicle registration nightmare
I bought a vehicle cash on the 14/02/2022, received the papers about two weeks later. The vehicle disc was expiring on the 31/05/22. On the 27/05/22, I went to the NaTIS office to do ownership change but I was told that I couldn’t as the vehicle did not belong to @webuycars. They gave me a print out which showed the current title holder of the vehicle and it was not @webuycars. The very same day I called @webuycars to inform them of the issue and after being sent from pillar to post,I went to the branch to talk to them face to face. At the branch I detailed the whole story to Ruan, whom I was instructed to go to as the customer service officer there. He took the vehicle papers to the department that deals with NaTIS issues @webuycars. Ruan told me to leave the papers with him,so that they may solve the problem. They gave me the temporary papers that were going to expire on the 11/07/22. On the 28/06/22 I received a call from @webuycars informing me that the vehicle papers were ready for collection. I collected the papers the same day and the following day I went to the NaTIS department to do the ownership change. To my annoyance I faced the same challenge again, I still could not register the vehicle under my name because as @webuycars was not the title owner. And to cut the whole story short even as of today 05/08/22, the said vehicle is parked at my yard with an expired disc and @webuycars are not replying to my emails. I have also reported the issue to MIOSA on the 13/07/22, Ref 381356 and I am awaiting the resolution.
