We sell cars-BE CAREFUL!!!

This company advertises vehicles for sale on there website. I sent an email to enquire about a vehicle on saturday to receive a generic response today (monday) from a Lizel thanking me for my interest but that i should phone in to enquire. I phoned in and was told saif vehicle is still available and that a sales person would phone me right back and it never happened.

After 12h00 I phoned back and was told by the "call centre" operator that the vehicle had been sold or he is not sure as the information they give clients is based on whether it is listed on the website.

I was given a "sales manager" cell number (Mark ********** ) that confirmed the vehicle had been sold.

My problem being, had I decided to drive through the 60km on my own expense to buy the vehicle I would have incurred unnecessary expences as they clearly have no system to ensure the information given and advertised is correct making it **********.

Given this info I asked the "call centre" operator how this could be of any good business practice and was laughed at and told that they are a wholesale dealer and that is just that.

I don't see how any bank and any private person could deal with such unprofessional conduct as it leaves one wondering if this is how they approach the marketing aspect of their business how many lies are told to customers and finance institutions about the vehicles they sell.

Hi Dixie,
We sell on average 1, 500 vehicles every month meaning that we receive high volumes of inquiries that result in fast-paced sales.
We keep our website updated based on vehicle availability a process which is not instantaneous but requires manual updating which means that there will be a short delay between purchase and the vehicle being removed from our site. The process is far from ********** as the car presented on the website is in fact the actual product purchased, ie there is no misrepresentation of the product. The delay between purchase and the actual removal is a logistical one not an ethical one. For this reason we encourage interested buyers to phone ahead.
I do apologise that you were not contacted by the time specified. For quality purposes we record all calls and monitor these continually for ongoing improvement - do you remember with whom you spoke at the call centre? Thank you for taking the time to contact us.
Wishing you all the best,
We Sell Cars Team

Well if you advertise something that you dont have and your staff confirms the product availability and then change your story bow does that differ from the ****s pr3sented on sites like gumtree and olx. My last conversation was with a Weylan Bates but that could also be false info seeing that nothing coming from any employee/staff of "we sell cars" has been anywhere near to the truth.
Seems you are still not adressing my problem. How could i be sure that when i drive through there at my own expense be sure that said vehicle is there as it is now clear you and your staff have no idea how good business practice is upheld or portrayed.
A delay in advertising becomes a thing of ethics once you sell a car on friday and by monday your staff confirms the availability. Now its a thing of bad moral and ethics.

So interesting enough is that same vehicle was advertised on gumtree by "we sell cars" after 12 yesterday but your feedback says a short delay. You have shady business dealings and now it has become evident that you have no concern about clients only your bank account.
